The iPhone is the device that spends the most time on our bench, and it shows in our stock and our routine. Apple builds tight and compact, which leaves little room for sloppiness: screw lengths differ by position, flex cables run under metal brackets and the adhesive is strong. Rush this and you cut a cable or seat a connector crooked.
What demands extra attention on Apple hardware is part pairing. Face ID, battery health and on some models True Tone calibration are tied in software to your specific device. So wherever possible we transfer the original components across, and we tell you in advance which notice you can expect after the repair. Surprises afterwards are not good service.
Face ID and why we take care
The Face ID module cannot be replaced without losing face recognition, because the sensors are cryptographically paired to the processor. During a screen replacement we therefore always transfer those parts across with care. If the module itself was damaged in the fall, nobody can restore it — not even an authorised service point, short of replacing the whole device. We would rather say that up front than afterwards.
Battery health after replacement
After a battery swap Apple shows a notice on many models saying the part cannot be verified, and sometimes hides the health readout. That is a pairing between battery and mainboard, not a statement about safety or capacity. Your device charges and works normally. We explain what this means for your model before we begin.
