Software and data recovery Amsterdam

Not every problem is hardware. A device stuck on the logo, restarting repeatedly or dead after an update often has a damaged file system or a failed firmware installation. In many of those cases the device is entirely recoverable, data included, provided nobody has run a factory reset over it first.

That last point is the single most important advice we can give: do not reset and do not restore via a computer if you still need your data. Come in first. A reset overwrites exactly what we might otherwise have retrieved.

Does this sound familiar?

  • The device hangs on the logo
  • Restarts over and over (bootloop)
  • An update aborted and now nothing works
  • Extremely slow, or apps closing by themselves
  • Storage full while little is stored
  • The device is dead and there is no backup

What we distinguish when a phone will not start

We first measure whether the device draws current at all and whether it reaches recovery mode. If it does not respond, this is not a software issue but a power or mainboard problem, and we treat it as such. If it does come up, we attempt to repair the operating system without wiping user data, and only as a last step in a way that loses data — and never without discussing it with you first.

Data recovery from physically broken devices

If the device itself cannot be saved, the storage often can. Depending on the model and the nature of the damage we can reach the memory or bring the phone up long enough to make a backup. On devices with encrypted storage tied to the processor the options are narrower; we will say honestly what is achievable before you build up hope we cannot fulfil.

Privacy

Software work sometimes means touching your files. We only look at what the repair requires, we copy nothing without your instruction, and any temporary copies made during a recovery are deleted once the job is done. That is not a marketing line: it is why we agree with you up front what we may and may not do.

Frequently asked questions

Can you bypass a forgotten passcode or account lock?

No. We do not bypass iCloud, Google or screen locks, not even on request. That protection exists to deter theft. We are happy to help you through the manufacturer's official recovery process, with your proof of purchase.

What are the chances of getting my photos back?

That depends entirely on the cause. With a software fault the odds are good; with severe liquid damage or a failed memory chip considerably lower. We diagnose first and then give you a realistic assessment rather than a promise.
